As athletes, we want to be as prepared as possible for race day and often find ourselves using mental images to break down how we want the day to go.
The secret to this type of visualization lies in creating a mental image of easy and efficient running, and of achieving your target goal, whether that goal is based on just completing the event or hitting a specific finishing time.
We want you to toe to the start line with a calm, strong mind and body.
Hosted at THE FOUNDRY powered by Finish Line PT and taught by yoga instructor and endurance runner Amanda Kerpius, the evening will start with a gentle yoga flow designed to stretch major muscle groups and prepare the body for the meditative portion of the evening.
Never meditated before? The practice of Yoga Nidra, or yogic “sleep” can be performed by anyone! You will be guided the entire way with a body scan, awareness and intention setting that allows the mind to quiet and enter deep relaxation.
Leave your practice feeling relaxed, calm and ready to race rested, alert and strong.
