The NYC Marathon is infamous for its crowds and perhaps even more so for its challenging course throughout the five boroughs.

Join Finish Line Physical Therapy for a panel discussion on race day logistics and course strategy to prepare you for the wild ride that is the NYC Marathon. We will break down each part of the course; sharing strategies from our panel of coaches, movement specialists and a nutritionist who have run, coached, and cheered each part of this epic 26.2 mile course.

We will touch on topics such as:

  • Getting to the start line in Staten Island and what to do once you’re there
  • Strategies to approaching each bridge (especially the Verrazano Bridge)
  • When to use the crowds and where you should place your course cheerleaders
  • What to expect when it comes to hills on the course and where they might surprise you
  • Nutrition – when and where to fuel
  • Pacing strategies throughout the course
  • Mental Game strategies
