Around the Clock on the AlterG to Celebrate Global Running Day

Why do YOU run? We’d all fill in the blank with a different reason, and whatever it is, let’s celebrate it! Global Running Day is a great opportunity to recognize the fact that running is a part of our lives. The concept is simple: on Wednesday, June 1, do something to reaffirm your commitment to running. That could mean participating in a group run, trying a new running route or committing to a fall race.

OR… it could mean joining Finish Line Physical Therapy in our Global Running Day festivities!

Our plan is to run Around the Clock on the AlterG in honor of Global Running Day – and we need your help in achieving 12 hours of continuous running! We did this back in 2014, and it was AWESOME. Together, we ran 136 miles. This year, our goal is to surpass 150. Help us get there!

Here’s how it works: From 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, our goal is to have at least one person running at all times on one of our two AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmills (it’s like running on clouds – seriously!). Run for 15 minutes or run for an hour… just as long as at least one of the machines is going, it counts.

Ever wondered what it felt like to run on the clouds? Have you been in to the office, seen that crazy contraption in the corner and thought, “I should try that”? Now’s your chance. Or if you’re a regular AlterG user, make sure to sign up for a time and join the party. All are welcome.

SIGN UP FOR A TIME SLOT (or more than one!)

A few thoughts as you sign up:

  • Each slot is for 15 minutes. For example, if you sign up in the 7:00 a.m. box, plan on running from 7-7:15 a.m.
  • Sign up for as many slots as you want! For example, if you want to run for 30 minutes, sign up in both the 7:00 and 7:15 slots.
  • Please include an email address so we can confirm your participation the day before.
  • Invite friends to run at the same time. Running buddy, partner, BFF, etc.
  • The AlterG is FREE for everyone on Global Running Day!

About the AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill
Heralded by 1968 Boston Marathon champion Amby Burfoot as “the most significant advance in training equipment for distance runners in the last half century,” the AlterG allows you to run longer, run faster and enhance performance.

The AlterG is a revolutionary way to seamlessly return to functional mobility during recovery while still retaining fitness (and plus, it’s like running on clouds – seriously). Using advanced NASA technology, it provides up to 80% body weight support to reduce the impact and stress on the body. The AlterG allows people run without discomfort or pain, train through injuries and burn more calories by going farther and faster than normal.
