Accommodations
If you are coming from out of town, there are many hotels within a short walking distance from the Finish Line PT office:

Course Description
This innovative, dynamic two-day Live Function course sponsored by the Gray Institute will provide essential principles, strategies, and techniques of Applied Functional Science specifically addressing the upper extremity. During the course, participants will learn a principle-based approach to creating strategies for assessment and testing, prevention, training and rehabilitation to facilitate improved functional thresholds.

This course is designed to give you practical, objective results that you can use immediately. It will include ample time on assessing and addressing function utilizing a simple-to-follow systemic formula, including live case studies. Attendees will spend hands-on time adding to their assessment skills both globally and locally (on the table, off the table) and learning a “melt-mold-move” continuum to apply to the identified functional dysfunction.

Course Structure
The course is designed to be 95% hands-on; learn-by-doing, therefore strengthening your practical day-to-day skill-set. Wear comfortable clothes to move and be moved. Because we’ll be focusing on the upper extremity, tank tops (or sports bras for women) are recommended.

The schedule for each day includes:

7:30-7:45 a.m.: Registration
8:00-10:00 a.m.: Unifying principles of human movement
10:00-11:00 a.m.: Assessment techniques
11:00 a.m.-Noon: Soft tissue techniques
Noon-1:00 p.m.: Lunch Break
1:00-5:00 p.m.: Soft tissue techniques
5:00-6:00 p.m.: Putting it all together: practical case study examples
